Meet Maggie a Freshman at South Caldwell High School!! Last Fall we did a portfolio building shoot for Maggie. Her sweet Momma said she had recently talked about maybe wanting to pursue modeling so we gave a it a shot! Maggie is a very quiet, but super sweet! Look at these images!! They speak for themselves. This was her first time behind the camera for this type of thing and she did awesome. She is no doubt a natural! Adam & Rebecca were married on October 2, 2010 at Dryponds Baptist Church and the reception was held at the bride and grooms sweet little home! Beautiful weather, beautiful family and friends, and awesome couple! We had a great time with these two... laid back and definitely enjoyed their special day! Love Day = Derek & Whitney
Meet Derek & Whitney! This post is perfect for such a LOVEly day!! This couple is not only beautiful but so super sweet. I asked Whitney if I could share a bit about them for this post as I just LOVE their little story! Derek and Whitney met at a Lenoir Rhyne college Halloween party in 2008 and began dating 6 months later in April of 2009. There sweet little story only begins there....as the summer came and Derek had a Dr appointment June 2010 the Dr's discovered a lump on one of his testicles and was shortly diagnosed with testicular cancer. The cancer had already spread to his lymphnodes so after surgery Derek had to take 4 months of chemotherapy. Every day 6hours of chemotherapy Whitney stayed by his side. A month after Derek being diagnosed Whitney planned a picnic trip to Prices Lake with Derek and her family in July 2010. It was there he completely surprised her and asked her hand in marriage in front of her family! Their relationship grew even more as fighting this horrible disease together! Derek is now cancer free!!Derek and Whitney love the outdoors and just about anything about it. They are big Brave fans and love to go to baseball games. Pretty much being together makes them happy and we are so excited to be a part of their day this September as they become husband and wife. We chose Edgemont NC as their engagement session location. It was a beautiful but very cold day! Hot chocolate and a blanket were a must ;). 
Hall Wedding Valle Crucis
This day and wedding couldn't have been any better!! Clayton and Ashley were married in Valle Crucis at the beautiful Apple Barn. The morning started off with Ashley and her sweet friends having their hair styled by the talented artist at Westglow Salon. Once the ladies arrived at the Mast Farm Inn where the couple would stay for the night after the wedding, we then began our First Glance at the Valle Crucis Park. So many things on this day was super sentimental to this beautiful couple! The Mast Farm Inn is such a perfect, beautiful and relaxing Inn. Oh I so hope one day for my husband and I to just take a night or two and enjoy a quite evening at this gorgeous place. If any of you know me at all you know I LOVE anything old, antique, vintage and especially with meaning! I could have just stayed there for hours taking pics of the adorable little things at The Mast Farm Inn. Each room has their on glass bottled of filtered water and delicious cookies. SO cute. After the first glance at the Valle Crucis Park we headed over to the Mast General Store and took some fun shots in the "candy barrell". Such a fun group! The outdoor ceremony was beautiful and full of very close friends and family! Ashley and Clayton's adorable little blue eyed boy was just precious!! The reception was held inside the Apple Barn and the guest had loads of yummy food, cake and drinks! Clayton and Ashley thank you so much for allowing Joy Davis Photography to a part of your absolute special special day!! We love our clients and love that our clients become our friends.
