Today the weather was perfect in our NC Mountains. We had a full day planned and that included crouching around in the woods like tigers to catch a marriage proposal. Our littles went with us because we had plans to take them to Tweetise after the shoot. Taking our kids to sessions is definitely not the norm but Ryan insisted they would do great, and they did awesome! After our lunch picnic we placed them where at least one of us could see them but be sure they were out of site of Jack and Emily. These kids took it so serious they whispered for 40 minutes even when we said we will tell you when you have to be quiet. They were part of the day so we had to include them in some of these images =). Ryan placed himself in a rhododendron bush with a camo net over his face and body. I got so tickled at him (picture below). We separated so we would be sure to have different angles depending on where Jack stopped. When I heard Emily's voice coming I got all excited...I love surprises! These kind of images are a lot of times our favorite! Real moments. Real Emotions. Once we got the proposal and came out of hiding, we went back to where Emily's parents were grilling out. Congratulations you two! We are excited for you both!! MUCH love.
Oh we just loved this precious baby girl! She has the lips of a porcelain doll! So tiny! This baby angel was fabulous for her first portrait session. Thanks Mom and Dad for allowing Joy Davis Photography to document her newness.
Oh my goodness this day was so fun and perfect! The weather, the people, the couple! Maggie and Tyson chose to get married at Maggie's Grandfather's home and it was precious. We did a first look with Maggie and her Dad and you are going to love it. You will see this group had FUN at the reception held at The Old Armory Buidling in Morganton!! The celebration ended with everyone lighting paper lanterns into the sky. Happy Happy ONE year you two. MUCH love~ Ryan and Joy
Tomorrow we get to spend all day with these two! Elizabeth and Lee will be getting married in the High Country tomorrow at Blue Ridge Mountain Club. We all got to spend a beautiful evening together in Blowing Rock off of the parkway shooting their engagement images. See you both very soon!! Much love~ Ryan and Joy
I got you sis! Just lean on me! Just a few from our recent session with these two spunky and awesome twins!
Yesterday marked TWO years for these two! I'm just now blogging their awesome engagement session! Better late than never AND no way I couldn't finally share these. Their sweet little proposal story sparked the idea for this shoot. Daniel and Jennifer's first date they made homemade lasagna together and when he did propose he made his "famous" homemade ...from scratch delicious cinnamon rolls! You will see in the pictures he is wearing a "King Arthur" brand flour. He will not make those yummy rolls without his favorite brand!! We shot part of their session at their beautiful home then went to Daniel's parents farm and finished up. A wonderful evening with a beautiful couple. Get ready to see lots more of these two! Their wedding, maternity AND brand new baby boy!! Much Love~
