Carolina Bride Magazine Feature: Snow Filled Engagement | NC Wedding Photographers

Carrie and Sam's engagement session was the perfect Winter shoot! Sometimes we have visions for shoots and it takes patience to get what we want =).  After Carrie and I scheduled and rescheduled to choose the perfect day!  This session was filled with a lovely cold day, loads of snow, lots of love and tons of fun!  Check out their engagement session below AND featured in the January issue of Carolina Bride magazine!! Smithmore Castle: ACES Event Meeting

We attended our most recent ACES event meeting and it was held at the beautiful Smithmore Castle in Spruce Pine NC.  The weather and company was perfect!  South's Clothiers provided models with gown samples!  Floral designs were provided by Kristi Turbyfill of Events by Elizabeth Ashley and Janna Avery of Callista Designs.  A beautiful cake by Hallmark Cakes was displayed with the Queen's crown in the great hall of the Castle.  I heard the cake was wonderful but wasn't able to get a taste.  Sometimes being gluten free has its down moments =).   All the plates used for the event was provided by Miss Match Rentals and even though we were not able to grab pics of those adorable plates trust me when I say her stuff is adorable!  Music for our evening was provided by the talented The Mercury Dames.  You will see images below of rental items available from Fushia Moss Vintage Decor.  She has lots of great finds to add to your photo shoot or special day!  It was lovely chatting and meeting other wedding professionals throughout the evening.   Our evening ended with a sweet surprise from my hubby.  I had misplaced my wedding rings for almost 6 months...yes I know...anyway he found and completely surprised me with asking to marry him again ;).  We are going on twelve years this September!  I will admit I teared up a bit.  Enjoy the images!~ Ryan and Joy

Lee + Liz: Engaged| Blowing Rock Engagement Session

Tomorrow we get to spend all day with these two!  Elizabeth and Lee will be getting married in the High Country tomorrow at Blue Ridge Mountain Club.  We all got to spend a beautiful evening together in Blowing Rock off of the parkway shooting their engagement images.   See you both very soon!! Chetola Resort Wedding: Jessica & Walt | Chetola Weddings NC

  This exact day ONE year ago was pure bliss.   Just wait untill you see their smiles!  This was one of those weddings where honestly nothing went as planned...our timeline for photos just got put away.  The rain had other plans! Rain or not it was perfect.  I honestly can't tell you how calm this bride was and how the rain just really didn't stress her much.  Jessica knew no matter what she would marry her sweet fiance' Walt!  It was a huge help she had Meris in charge with "The Whole Shebang" to rearrange the wedding from outdoors to indoors.  On this day it rained and rained... Ryan ran out to get Jessica a pair of rainboots and she was set!  The rain let up just enough for our first glance.  I adored their first glance...  If any one getting married is unsure of doing the first glance or not please talk to several couples that did!  Its so awesome and seriously makes the day even more special! Trust us!! After the first glance we had time to get some shots on the grounds of beautiful Chetola Resort.   Ryan and I got to spend alot of time with Jessica before her big day.  We shot her and Walt's engagement pictures and Jess' bridals!  Take a look here and here!  Our couples become friends and its fantastic. We get just as excited as others when the day comes and we get to capture it all.   We love you both! Congratulations on ONE YEAR!!! Much Love ~ Ryan & Joy
