Happy Monday All! Meet sweet Logan Joshua! He was born March 18, 2014! I was lucky enough to be able to visit Mom a day after his birth to capture his brand newness at the hospital! This sweet little angel happens to belong to a long time friend of mine... we go way back =). Our sixth grade year together was fabulous and we both still super loud laugh at certain events of that year! Some parents opt to not have a photographer at the actual birth but rather have portraits taken within the first 24 hours after birth! I adore both birth photography and newborn photography. Being a part of bringing a new life into this world is truly a blessing. Thanks Mom and Dad for allowing me to be a part! I love you. Enjoy~

Jennifer + Joe : ENGAGED | NC Wedding Photographers
Tomorrow is the DAY for these two!! Ryan and I cannot wait to capture their love story on camera. We met Jennifer and Joe last Summer at the Apple Hill Orchard for their engagement shoot! The weather was perfect and these two are just as fun as they are beautiful! A huge thank you to The Apple Hill Orchard for allowing us to use their beautiful property. Moms and Dads this place is such a great family outing...take the kiddos and pick your own apples! They sell delicious goodies in their store as well! Looking forward to tomorrow! Much Love ~

A new life...
I do not have enough words to express my love and humbleness ... I was so blessed to be a part of a pure moment of joy. I shot Macie's maternity images several months back and you can view them here. My sweet friend found out she has Hodgkin's Lymphoma while still pregnant with her little Evie. Macie's faith and love is so full of Christ. She has no idea how much she blesses everyone she is around and all who reads her thoughts and post on her personal Facebook page. I had a front row seat to one of life's most beautiful and precious moments...birth. Please continue to pray for Macie and her family as she continues to fight this disease! Ken and Macie...THANK You for allowing me to be a part of this incredible day. With all my love.. Enjoy Meet Miss Evie Elizabeth...
Family Friday : My Little Blessings
I shot these images of my two last May... long time ago. This is very typical of me to take pictures of my children and not do a thing with them forever! I'm working on it...bits at a time. This was at our old house. I walked in the room that day and they were doing this on their own. It warmed my heart so much. I loved it. Last night I was reminded of these images when Ryan and I really wanted to go to sleep early and the kids DID NOT. I think Jayla read about 10 books to Jase...it was precious. I was awake and listened to her read to him and he would ask questions... I know these times are short in the scheme of their life. They are 5 1/2 years apart and I adore seeing how they can still connect. Gosh do they fight and get ugly with each other but they truly LOVe each other. I pray that even with the age gap and male/female difference they will always connect in their own way... protect and love each other.

The Knight Family: Lifestyle Portraits | Family Portrait Photographer NC
I ask friends to take a few moments to send positive thoughts, love and prayers for Macie and her entire family. I am so incredibly blessed and honored to be able to be with Macie in the morning to photograph the birth of this sweet baby. Much Love J. Macie and Ken! Your sweet daughter took of the shots below...can you guess which one? ;) src="http://www.joydavisphotographyblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/year-end_919.jpg" class="pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter" width="850" height="1274" alt="" />

My Girl is Eight : Personal
Today marks 8 years of being blessed with my blue eyed blonde headed daughter... Oh how we enjoy her so much. She has such a tender heart, love for God, loves art and is so talented, enjoys My Little Pony, her dolls, reading and dancing. I took these images on her seventh birthday...I KNOW! We haven't planned a shoot yet for this year so I thought I would share these fun ones from last year. I should have done a shoot today...the weather was perfect! It seemed this day last year was pretty warm itself. Happy Birthday sweet girl. Mommy and Daddy adore and love you more than you will every know.
